When my mother died during COVID, the family was at a loss on how to perform a service. Siblings were scattered around the country. I did some researching and finally had her ashes interred in a Reef Ball with a bronze plaque. I have recommended this to other people over the years. That led me to building this site.
As a veteran, I am eligible for burial at sea. I even took part in these ceremonies when I was young. It is something you have earned as a veteran. However, it takes place on a ship that is being deployed — no family members or photography will be involved. Just a respectful ceremony for the veteran by active-duty personnel.
I wish you and your family prayers for a time of healing during your loss.
Respectfully,
William
